Silvia Buttiglione

Silvia ButtiglioneSilvia Buttiglione pursued cello studies with Maestro Nevio Zanardi at the Conservatorio di Musica N. Paganini of Genoa where she got her Diploma in 2000 with honours. She played in 2000 as soloist the Haydn Sinfonia Concertante on the occasion of the visit of the famous Italian conductor Carlo Maria Giulini. Buttiglione, then, studied at the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale of Saluzzo and at the Scuola di Musica of Fiesole (Firenze) and joined there the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana. In 2004, she played around Europe in order to promote Genoa as the European Capital of Culture. Since 2010, Buttiglione has played chamber music, principally with her husband Mattia Berrini. During 2012, she participated with him in the Festival de Inverno in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
